Atmospheric Pressure GC (APGC) Source
Extend the capabilities of your LC/MS analytical instrumentation with a Waters Atmospheric Pressure GC (APGC) Source field upgrade. The upgrade makes analytical instrumentation more universally applicable by incorporating the ability to perform AP GC/MS on a single MS platform. It delivers the flexibility to analyze volatile and semi-volatile compounds of low and intermediate polarity, traditionally analyzed by dedicated vacuum GC/MS instruments.
The electrospray source is interchanged with the APGC system in a simple operation that takes less than five minutes to complete. Once in place, the APGC source interfaced to a standard Agilent 7890 capillary GC chromatograph delivers robust high sensitivity GC/MS/MS data.
The Atmospheric Pressure GC method parameters are controlled on a per-sample basis from the MassLynxTM Software sample list, when used with selected MS instruments equipped with an Agilent 7890 GC. APGC is available for the following MS instruments:

The Waters/Agilent 7890 GC is also factory modified to allow interfacing to the APGC source transfer line. The GC can be configured from a choice of sample injectors, additional detectors, oven cooling and flow splitting options and autosampler systems.
Installation, performance confirmation and operation training by a Waters Field Service Engineer is required.
