The Sep-Pak C18 96-well Plate is designed with a Silica-based bonded phase with strong hydrophobicity and can be used to adsorb analytes of even weak hydrophobicity from aqueous solutions. The Sep-Pak C18 96-well Plate can be generally used in applications including such as testing of drugs and their metabolites in serum, plasma, or urine, desalting of peptides, trace organics in environmental water samples, organic acids in beverages. The Sep-Pak C18 96-well Plate displays behavior similar to reversed-phase HPLC columns.

How Are The Ion Exchange Packings Conditioned?
To ensure optimal performance, it is strongly advised to condition any Ion Exchange Packings intended for nonpolar, organic solvent samples using the sample solvent itself. Conversely, for samples dissolved in polar solvents, it is recommended to condition the packings using a water-miscible organic solvent, followed by an aqueous solution with the appropriate pH, organic solvent content, and salt concentration. This conditioning process is essential to prepare the packings and ensure their compatibility with the specific sample solvents, promoting accurate and reliable ion exchange chromatography results.
