Product Description

ACQUITY CSH C18 columns were designed to provide alternate selectivity compared to other reversed-phase UPLC columns. These ultra-efficient columns overcome peak shape asymmetry and poor loading capacity for basic compounds, column bleed, and rapid mobile-phase re-equilibration.

ACQUITY UPLC CSH C18 Column, 130Å, 1.7 µm, 1 mm X 150 mm, 1/pk

The ACQUITY UPLC CSH C18 Column offers a larger range of selectivity than Waters' other ACQUITY brands, the ACQUITY UPLC BEH and XBridge. The ACQUITY UPLC CSH C18 Column provides a wide range of selectivities without sacrificing critical performance characteristics such as peak shape for basic chemicals, low column bleed, and seamless transferability between different particle sizes and column formats.

Waters designed the ACQUITY UPLC CSH C18 Column in response to feedback gathered at several customer forums. When compared to other reversed-phase UPLC columns, the ACQUITY UPLC CSH C18 Column was developed to provide alternate selectivity. Peak shape asymmetry, inadequate loading capacity for basic chemicals, column bleed, and rapid mobile-phase re-equilibration are all eliminated by these ultra-efficient columns. The Charged Surface Hybrid (CSH) Technology, which is the next generation of particle technology, is the driving force behind the ACQUITY UPLC CSH columns. The basic mechanism behind the lab equipment is Waters' Charged Surface Hybrid (CSH) Technology.

Method development is faster and easier with the ACQUITY UPLC CSH C18 Column because CSH Technology provides Trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) peak shape performance without the use of TFA. Though the use of Trifluoroacetic Acid results in crisp peak morphologies for basic chemicals, it is an ion-pairing agent that is difficult to remove from the ACQUITY phase after it has been exposed to a Liquid Chromatography column. With MS-friendly mobile phase additives like formic acid, the lab equipment, on the other hand, can give increased peak shape performance. As formic acid does not react with an ion-pairing agent, this leads to a faster and more straightforward technique development.

You may also want to invest in the TruView LCMS Certified Clear Glass 12 x 32 mm Screw Neck Vial, with Cap and Preslit PTFE/Silicone Septum, 2 mL Volume, 100/pk. The vial is made using inert glass so that you can store your analytes, knowing that there will be no interference with the results.
