Features Header
LC-MS enables cutting-edge SARS-CoV-2 research
The Waters SARS-CoV-2 LC-MS Kit (RUO) is a Research Use Only kit intended for the quantitative measurement of three proteolytic peptides derived from the SARS-CoV-2 Nucleocapsid (NCAP) protein. The method has been optimized on an ACQUITY UPLC I-Class PLUS and Xevo TQ-XS System and is also intended for use with the Andrew+ Pipetting Robot. Optimization on other instrument platforms is possible.
Further investigation is needed to collect objective evidence in promising research applications, however, based on the properties of the analytical test method, the SARS-CoV-2 LC-MS Kit might be leveraged for the following research studies:
- Peptide concentration to quantitate SARS CoV-2 signature peptides at different stages of infection
- Research of infection and long-term effects through peptide quantitation
Future pandemic preparedness studies and research of signature peptide-based biomarkers unique to other infections
Achieve confidence in results
Ensure accurate and consistent results with highly analytically selective antibody magnetic bead enrichment. With the innovative SISCAPA® anti-peptide antibody enrichment sample preparation method from SISCAPA Assay Technologies, Inc. in the SARS-CoV-2 LC-MS Kit (RUO), you can improve the performance of mass spectrometry for measurement of pre-selected protein targets.
With the SARS-CoV-2 LC-MS Kit (RUO) and SISCAPA, you can achieve the analytical sensitivity you need to detect low levels of SARS-CoV-2 peptides from complex digested samples with stable isotope standards and capture by anti-peptide antibodies. Increase laboratory efficiency with all the components your busy research laboratory needs to quickly deploy the supplied method - all in one package.
Ensure reproducibility with trusted chemistries and consumables
Ensuring reproducible quantitation from sample-to-sample, run-to-run, and lab-to-lab provides the confidence you need for critical research decisions. Ensuring reproducibility starts with minimizing variability risks, including the risk of unpredictable non-specific binding of peptides to surfaces. The SARS-CoV-2 LC-MS Kit uses QuanRecovery Plates with MaxPeak HPS and a MaxPeak Premier Peptide Column, minimizing non-specific binding of peptides to surfaces while enhancing recovery and signal.

The SARS-CoV-2 LC-MS Kit (RUO) is a specialized tool designed to detect and measure specific proteins from the SARS-CoV-2 virus, focusing on the nucleocapsid (NCAP) signature peptides. It uses liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) to provide precise and reliable protein analysis. Unlike traditional methods such as PCR, which target viral genetic material, this kit allows researchers to study the virus at the protein level, offering a different and complementary approach to understanding infection and viral behavior.
This kit is designed for research use only and delivers highly sensitive and specific results. It is ideal for measuring SARS-CoV-2 protein levels quickly and accurately. The kit includes pre-validated reagents and protocols, which simplify the process and ensure consistent results. This consistency is essential for comparing data across experiments and achieving reliable outcomes. The streamlined workflow also integrates easily with most LC-MS systems, making it suitable for laboratories already using these tools.
The kit is versatile and supports a wide range of research applications. It is especially useful for monitoring viral proteins in research samples, studying changes in viral load, and exploring how the virus interacts with the host. Researchers can also use it to help develop antiviral treatments by understanding the virus"s behavior at the protein level. Its fast and accurate protein detection is particularly helpful in research settings that require quick processing of multiple samples.
Designed to be efficient and easy to use, the SARS-CoV-2 LC-MS Kit (RUO) allows researchers to directly measure viral proteins without extensive preparation steps. By focusing on the nucleocapsid protein, a key part of the virus, it provides critical information about the presence and activity of SARS-CoV-2 in samples. The kit's compatibility with high-throughput workflows further enhances its value in busy research labs.
In summary, the SARS-CoV-2 LC-MS Kit (RUO) offers a reliable and efficient way to study SARS-CoV-2 proteins. Its simplicity, accuracy, and flexibility make it a valuable tool for advancing research on the virus, helping scientists gain new insights into its structure, behavior, and impact.
