The Waters Lipid Conjugated ASO LC-MS Standard is a 5 nmole quantity of a 16 residue gapmer antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) containing a fully phosphorothioated backbone, a 5’ palmitate modification and methoxy ethyl modified termini. Its sequence is provided in its manual and on its certificate of analysis.  It has a negative control sequence that does not have any homology with mammalian genes. The 5’ modification is created from the use of a 5'-Palmitate-C6 CE phosphoramidite. This is a standard that is to be used as a performance check and potential system suitability standard for oligonucleotide extractions with the OligoWorks SPE Kits as well as LC-UV and LC-MS analyses, as performed with IP-RPLC, HILIC or IEX separations.
