The development of charged surface hybrid (CSHTM) materials was aimed at improving performance with acidic, low ionic strength mobile phases, while increasing the selectivity options available to method development scientists. The research behind this development has led to an in-depth understanding of the limitations of currently available reversed-phase columns. In designing chromatographic materials specifically for methods using MS-compatible mobile phases, the challenge is not only to maintain-but to improve upon-the attributes of reproducibility, maximized efficiency, increased selectivity, and extended pH stability. We have achieved these goals with CSH particle technology.
