Integrate the versatility of Empower Software with the simplicity of Waters chromatography solutions for a flexible purification solution that will meet your laboratory's needs.
Waters' analytical to semi-preparative purification solutions are suitable for when you only have a limited number of samples to purify and don't need the advanced features of a full preparative system. These systems can sit on the end of the benchtop waiting for your chemists to use on-demand. These systems are optimal for when you want to purify micrograms to milligrams of your compounds.
Waters offers a full line of solvent delivery systems capable of delivering flow rates up to 300 mL/min.
Typical Column I.D. | Maximum Flow Rate | Solvent Management | Sample Load |
2.0 to 19.0 mm | 22.5 mL/min | 1525 EF | µg to 10s of mg |
4.6 to 30.0 mm | 50.0 mL/min | 2535 Quaternary Gradient Module | mg to g |
4.6 to 50.0 mm | 150.0 mL/min | 2545 Quaternary Gradient Module | mg to g |
4.6 to 50.0 mm | 150.0 mL/min | 2545 Binary Gradient Module | mg to g |

From acquisition to real-time monitoring and total results management, you’ll never be more than a few clicks away from the purification answers you are looking for. You can now perform fraction collection using either Empower Software or MassLynx Software and its FractionLynx Application Manager.
Integrated Operation with Empower Software
Control of the Waters Fraction Collector III is available through a new instrument interface using Empower Software. Once the instrument control software (ICS) has been loaded, the interface integrates seamlessly with existing Empower control components. The collector control software enables the user to configure collection vessels and program collection routines. Real-time feedback from the fraction collector indicates the state of the collection process and the location of the collected fractions.
Integrated control panels with Empower Software offer consistent instrument operation.
Collection Control
The collection control interface allows the operator to perform different collection techniques:
When large-volume samples require repetitive injections to be made and the fractions collected repeatedly into the same container, the collection protocol simply requires a single box to be checked in order to perform this task.
For low-flow applications, the operator can choose not to open and close the diverter valve between consecutive fractions, and so not run the risk of diverting valuable segments of sample to waste.
Fraction collection information is embedded into Empower Software datasets and is available in a comprehensive report. The report can be viewed in an electronic format and saved to the database.
