Clear Glass 12 x 32 mm Screw Neck Total Recovery Vial, 1 mL Volume, 100/pk

In order to ensure the quality and cleanliness your analytical results rely on, all Waters vials are tested extensively to confirm the vials, cap, and septa have been manufactured properly, avoiding contaminants that could impact your results. As part of the Total Recovery family of vials, this Clear Glass 12 x 32 Screw Neck Total Recovery Vial is designed for compatibility with other Waters HPLC lab equipment, ensuring reliable results.

Total Recovery Vials are made specifically for the side draw port needle and the factory needle depth settings of the Waters Alliance 2690/2695 HPLC system. This vial is able to provide maximum sample capacity (~1 mL) with minimal residual volume (~9 µL). Like all Waters clear glass vials, the material used is Type 1, 33-Expansion borosilicate glass, which is the most chemically inert glass available and generally used in analytical labs that rely on high-quality test results. The glass is composed primarily of silicone and oxygen and includes trace amounts of boron and sodium.

A universal screw cap is featured on this vial- when the cap is screwed, a mechanical force squeezes the septum between the glass rim and cap. This form of screw neck forms a superior seal and mechanically holds the septum in place during piercing. Because the vial is sold separately from the cap, you can choose the septum material that best suits your needs.

All vials meet strict dimensional tolerances and UV/MS cleanliness tests that ensure cleanliness and quality of samples and a lack of contaminants from the manufacturing process.

What Kind Of Septa Can I Pair With This Vial?

Waters offers four versions of septa for use with Total Recovery Vials. PTFE is recommended for single application injections that require excellent solvent resistance and chemical compatibility, but do not need to reseal upon puncturing. PE Septumless offers similar benefits to PTFE membranes. PTFE/Silicone is recommended for multiple injections and sample storage, as it has excellent resealing abilities. If vacuum formation in sample vial is a concern, PTFE/Silicone septa are also available with a pre-slit membrane, which can help eliminate coring from bottom draw needles. Both have the same working temperature range.
