Deactivated Clear Glass 12 x 32 mm Screw Neck Vial, Qsert, with Cap and Preslit PTFE/Silicone Septum, 300 µL Volume, 100/pk
Deactivated vials have a silanized surface to prevent the adsorption of highly polar molecules. For highly polar analytes that may otherwise associate with the polar glass surface, Deactivated Glass (DV) vials are employed. These glass vials have been treated with gas-phase, reactive organosilane, which results in a hydrophobic glass surface.
It is critical to utilize deactivated glass with samples containing highly polar analytes to minimize sample loss, time loss, or the need to repeat the analysis. Because the surface alteration on this particular vial is permanent, these deactivated clear glass vials can be stored dry permanently. The vials' deactivated features allow you to work with biological or pharmaceutical chemicals, natural products, insecticides, and herbicides with ease because the deactivation procedure eliminates sample interaction, making it excellent for such applications.
The Deactivated Clear Glass with Screw Neck Vial and PTFE/Silicone Septum, like all Waters equipment, is created in specialized Waters production sites where the vials are produced under the strictest requirements under ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP).
Working with limited sample volume can sometimes be an obstacle for scientists to overcome during sample preparation, but at Waters, we make it easier with our vast selection of sample preparation essentials designed to meet or exceed your chosen application. A Qsert vial is a sample vial that offers a vial insert right out of the box. Thanks to the vial insert being pre-installed into a classic vial, you can cut down on sample preparation time. If you were to use a vial insert normally, a spring would be required to keep the insert in place. But with a Qsert vial, there's no spring or vial insert installation necessary.

Why Choose a Screw Neck Vial Made of Deactivated Clear Glass Over Other Vials?
Store highly polar substances that could be subject to adsorption in a Deactivated Clear Glass Screw Neck Vial. Adsorption is prevented by the silanized surface inside the vial. PTFE/Silicone Septum, Deactivated Clear Glass 12 x 32 mm Screw Neck Vial, Qsert, 100/pk, 300 µL
