What is USP Type I Glass?
Glasses with a USP Type I classification are borosilicate glass that boasts superior chemical resistance and represent the lead reactive glass containers available. This glass can be used for a range of applications such as packaging for parenteral and non-parenteral products. Type I Glass can be used for packaging acidic, neutral, and alkaline products. Under certain conditions, this glass may be subject to chemical attacks and therefore must be made carefully to withstand both very high and very low pH applications.

As a leading manufacturer of analytical instrumentation and consumable products, Waters knows how important it is to choose autosampler vials that enhance the performance of your other instrumentation. Everything from needle design to volatility to cleanliness will matter when making this decision and is taken into consideration during the creation of our vials.
These LGCG certified vials are tested to meet your rigorous standards using HPLC with UV detection to uncover trace levels of chemicals that could impact your work. By eliminating lubricants, surfactants, antistatic, and antioxidants that are left after the packaging process, reproducibility will not be impacted. Each batch of vials is tested after several days and additional GC tests are done to ensure proper curing of the silicone septa.
With a preslit PTFE/silicone septum, these vials offer enough venting to prevent vacuum formation in samples and deliver superior sample-draw reproducibility. You will also not experience coring from bottom draw needles and will be able to rely on good resealing capabilities. Recommended for multiple injections, this vial has a working temperature range from -40 C to 200 C.
The vial’s screw cap is universal, offering an excellent seal with no tools required for assembly. When the cap is screwed, a mechanical force squeezes the septum between the glass rim and the cap, mechanically holding the septum in place for piercing.
Clear glass vials are composed of silicone and oxygen and contain trace amounts of sodium and boron, offering the most chemically-inert glass available for analytical labs seeking high-quality results. All Waters vials are made from USP Type I Glass.
This package comes with 100 12 x 32 vials with 1 mL volume.
