Deactivated Clear Glass 12 x 32 mm Screw Neck Max Recovery Vial, with Cap and Preslit PTFE/Silicone Septum, 1.5 mL Volume, 100/pk
Highly polar analytes that may normally associate with the polar glass surface are placed in Deactivated Glass (DV) vials. A hydrophobic glass surface is created by treating these glass vials with gas-phase, reactive organosilane.
To avoid losing a sample, wasting time, or having to repeat the analysis, use deactivated glass for samples that may contain highly polar analytes. The surface alteration on these deactivated clear glass vials is permanent, so they can be stored dry permanently. The vials' deactivated features allow you to work with biological or pharmaceutical chemicals, natural products, insecticides, and herbicides with ease because the deactivation procedure eliminates sample interaction, making it perfect for these applications.
For numerous injections and sample storage, the PTFE/Silicone Septum is recommended. It has great resealing properties as well as chemical resistance till penetrated. The septum will have the chemical compatibility of silicone once the seal has been breached. The PTFE/Silicone Septum's specified working temperature range is -40°C to 200°C, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.
Similar to all Waters equipment, the Deactivated Clear Glass Snap Neck Vial is manufactured in dedicated Waters production plants where the vials are produced under the strictest conditions in ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP). You can browse our website or refer to our catalog to shop for lab equipment so you can replenish your stock and add to your existing equipment portfolio.
You may also want to look into Blue, 12 x 32 mm Screw Neck Cap and Preslit PTFE/Silicone Septum, 100/pk; which is compatible with a range of vials and other products. All Waters Screw caps are designed in consideration of other vial parts in order to achieve high-performance analytical instrumentation for chromatography.
What Does Vial Color Mean When Choosing A Vial For Your Laboratory Experiments?
Scientists have to consider many factors when selecting the best laboratory equipment based on their labs’ needs and experiment requirements. This is especially true when selecting the best chromatography vial for specific scientific needs. Color is one of the important factors that comes into play as it determines the chemical stability of the compounds or extracts. Both glass and plastic vials are made in clear or amber colors by Waters. Depending on the composition of the contents collected, one may need to choose an amber vial to ensure protection from UV Light as it may damage certain chemicals. Amber vials are best suited for easily damaged chemicals, whereas Clear Vials provide scientists with the best visibility of chemicals.
