Waters recommends that you also invest in the HPLC with UV Standards Kit which is intended to be used in performance qualification and is part of the Waters Alliance HPLC system. The Alliance system significantly reduces unscheduled downtime while giving you high performance and ease of use. It also offers integrated fluidics results in a low-dispersion design, ensuring consistent performance and high-quality results. The system provides you with the lowest possible detection limits for even the most stringent applications, with detection choices ranging from routine UV to MS/MS.
How Does A UV VIS Detector Work?
HPLC UV VIS detectors work by passing visible and UV light through a sample in a flow cell. Then the absorption of the different wavelengths that pass through the cell is measured. The amount of light absorbed provides information on the properties of the sample of interest.
