Sep-Pak Florisil 6 cc Vac Cartridge, 1 g Sorbent per Cartridge, 50-200 µm, 30/pk
Widely used by scientists performing trace level analysis, Sep-Pak cartridges for solid-phase extraction have been cited in scientific literature more than any other solid-phase extraction (SPE) device. Sep-Pak sample preparation lab equipment is ideally suited for low-level GC and LC analysis, especially the analysis of pesticides and many AOAC, EPA, and JPMHLW regulated methods for food and environmental samples. These Sep-Pak cartridges contain 1 g of Florisil sorbent, a polar, highly active, weakly basic sorbent for the adsorption of low to moderately polar species from non-aqueous solutions.
All Sep-Pak sample preparation products are carefully produced and quality control checked in order to ensure the lowest possible amount of residual extractables in the market. By manufacturing these cartridges to strict performance and cleanliness specifications, Waters is able to ensure that detection limits and performance of your analytical method are not compromised by the interfering substances that are typically found in inferior devices and sorbents.
Sep-Pak Florisil 6 cc Vac Cartridges contain an extremely polar sorbent that is a blend of magnesium oxide and silica gel. Sep-Pak products are made with bonded silica ideally suited for all types of samples and GC, HPLC, and UPLC analysis methods and compatible with many devices. When needed, a Long Needle Valve for Sep-Pak Device Vacuum Manifold, 20/pk can be added.
Cartridges are sold with 30 pieces in each package and each piece contains 1 g of sorbent with a 6 cc barrel size. These feature a particle size of 50-200 µm and a pore size of 60Å.
How Should I Store And/Or Dispose Of Used Sep-Park Florisil Cartridges?
Sep-Pak Florisil cartridges that are stored in their original sealed pouch remain stable for long periods without concern for contamination. Once opened, special care will be needed to ensure they are not exposed to the laboratory environment for long durations. Highly active sorbents will readily accumulate background contaminants from the environment, impacting the quality of the device. Waters recommends that you open and use only the needed cartridges. If this is not possible, store exposed cartridges in clean and contaminant-free containers like desiccators. Used cartridges should be disposed of safely, in accordance with the applicable government and local regulations.
