Oasis WCX Online Column, 80Å, 30 µm, 2.1 mm X 20 mm, 1/pk

One of the critical elements for conducting liquid chromatography is creating successful sample preparation. The ideal sample will be free from any elements or impurities that would impact the results and contain appropriate concentrations for running measurements. Waters created the Oasis WCX Online Column with a polymeric, reversed-phase Oasis WCX sorbent to ensure higher recovery and reproducibility. Utilize the Oasis WCX sorbent that has been developed with a weak ion exchange mixed-mode and optimized for a fast and simple delivery to provide stronger retention and highly selective sample preparation of strong basic compounds and quaternary amines.

The Oasis WCX sorbent is water-wettable in nature, which means it enables it to maintain its capacity for higher retention and excellent recoveries even if the sorbent runs dry. With this feature, you do not need to take any extra steps and precautions to keep the sorbent beds from drying out throughout your analysis and sample loading. Using the Oasis WCX, you can quantify the strongly basic compounds and quaternary animes in biological fluids with the rugged and highly selective SPE methods. This particular Oasis WCX Column offers the broadest operational pH range available, 0-14. It enables the analysis of particles sized 30 µm, pore size 80 Å and has a capacity of Ion Exchange of 0.75 meq/gram.

This Oasis WCX column is designed to be used with the appropriate Waters narrow-bore analytical columns, such as XSelect, XBridge, SunFire, Atlantis, XTerra, or Symmetry column, and it features traditional HPLC column fittings and hardware.

You can also review the Oasis Method Development Sorbent Selection Plate, 10 mg Sorbent per Well, 30 µm, 1/pk, which has been specifically designed to take any guesswork out of Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) method development. The Oasis Method Development sorbent select 96-plate is formatted to contain 3 rows of each of the four Oasis mixed mode, Ion-exchange chemistries. A single plate with all Oasis ion-exchange sorbents is quite convenient for accomplishing efficient isolation of unknown analytes, compounds, and mixtures with different retention properties.

What Are Quaternary Amines?

A Quaternary amine is an amine salt within which a nitrogen atom has four groups bonded to it and carries a positive charge. The positively charged surface-active agents or cationic surfactants makes them bind readily to the negatively charged surface of most microbes. It is used as disinfectants and cleaning agents across many industries.
