Product Description

The Oasis WCX 96-well plate contains the Oasis WCX sorbent, which is a polymeric reversed-phase, weak ion exchange mixed-mode sorbent that has been optimized for fast, simple, and highly selective sample preparation of strong basic compounds and quaternary amines. The unique balance of hydrophobicity and water-wettability of the Oasis WCX sorbent means you will never have to worry about poor results if individual wells of the 96-well plate dry out during the critical steps prior to sample loading. The Oasis WCX 96-well plate is designed to be used on many manifold configurations and most robotic liquid handling systems.

Oasis WCX 96-well Plate, 10 mg Sorbent per Well, 30 µm, 1/pk

Built using the unique, water-wettable Oasis HLB copolymer, Oasis Mixed-Mode Sorbents provide reversed-phase and ion-exchange modes of retention in order to provide greater cleanup selectivity and sensitivity in both acidic and basic compounds. Oasis WCX (weak cation exchange) SPE sorbent is designed specifically for superior sample preparation in strong bases and quaternary amines. With a mixed-mode retention mechanism, retention is improved in all basic analytes and the ability to elute these analytes is enhanced.

Using Waters’ novel Oasis lab equipment, the rugged and highly selective SPE methods that use Oasis WCX can detect, confirm, and quantify strongly basic compounds and quaternary amines present as biological fluids. The polymeric sorbent remains stable from pH 0 to 14 and offers much stronger washes that lead to very clean extracts. The unique balance of hydrophobicity and water-wettability in Oasis WCX sorbent means that you won’t need to worry about compromised results if an individual well dries out during critical steps prior to sample loading.

Also available as the Oasis WCX 96-well µElution Plate, 2 mg Sorbent per Well, 30 µm, 1/pk, The Oasis WCX 96-well Plate is designed for use on a variety of manifold configurations as well as most robotic liquid handling systems, making it compatible with most liquid-handling robotic systems for automated, reliable high throughout SPE. These plates feature an innovative and award-winning two-stage well design that allows for high throughput and recovery. Each well can hold 10 mg of sorbent.

Waters’ stringent quality controls meet the highest standards in the industry, ensuring batch to batch and lot to lot reproducibility for SPE sorbents. Chromatographers can develop robust, accurate, and precise analytical methods with confidence.

What Are The Benefits Of Water-Wettable Sorbents?

Because the sorbents in the Oasis family are not hydrophobic and are water-wettable, they help to increase speed both in SPE devices themselves as well as in laboratory sample processing workflow methods. This feature allows you to eliminate the condition and equilibration steps and viscous samples flow more easily through the cartridges and plates as a result of optimized frit and sorbent design used with Oasis sorbent products. Common matrices like plasma, urine, and milk have much faster flow rates through these devices. With less vacuum and positive pressure than other SPE devices, the optimal load, wash, and elution flow rates can be achieved.
