Product Description

The 3 cc Oasis WAX cartridges contain the Oasis WAX sorbent, which is a polymeric reversed-phase, weak anion exchange mixed-mode sorbent that has been optimized for fast, simple, and highly selective sample preparation of strong acidic compounds. Since the Oasis WAX sorbent is water wettable, it maintains its capability for higher retention and excellent recoveries even if the sorbent runs dry, which means there is no need to take extraordinary steps to keep the sorbent beds from drying out during the critical steps prior to sample loading.

Oasis WAX 3 cc Vac Cartridge, 60 mg Sorbent per Cartridge, 30 µm, 100/pk

Designed to provide superior sample preparation in strong acids, Oasis WAX is a weak-anion-exchange, mixed-mode, water wettable, polymeric sorbent that remains stable from pH 0 to 14. The sorbent allows for excellent retention capacity in a wider polarity spectrum of analytes, even when the sorbent bed has run dry during conditioning or sample loading, leading to more rugged and robust SPE methods that preclude the need for repeated sample preparation. This higher retention capacity allows for more analytes to be retained with less breakthrough, thus improving the recovery and overall reproducibility of SPE methods. The rugged and highly selective SPE methods that use Oasis WAX can detect, confirm, and quantify strongly acidic compounds in biological fluids.

Each cartridge contains 60 mg of the Oasis WAX sorbent, a polymeric reversed-phase sorbent that has been optimized for fast, simple, and highly selective sample preparation in strong acidic compounds. The water wettable nature of the sorbent maintains excellent recoveries when the sorbent runs dry, meaning there is no need for going above and beyond with additional steps to prevent the sorbent beds from drying out during the critical steps before sample loading.

With expert manufacturing processes and stringent quality control procedures, Waters has established the highest possible level of batch-to-batch and column-to-column reproducibility in SPE lab equipment. This enables scientists to develop robust, accurate, and precise analytical methods, allowing confidence that methods can be seamlessly transferred between laboratories. Use in conjunction with related products, such as the XBridge BEH C18 Method Validation Kit, 130Å, 2.5 µm, 2.1 mm X 100 mm, 3/pk, for optimal efficiency and success.

Every delivery includes 100 Oasis WAX 3 cc Vac Cartridges made from durable polypropylene, featuring ultra-clean syringe barrels and frits.

What Is A Vac Cartridge?

A vac cartridge is a form of cartridge that delivers the option of low-cost sample preparation. Each cartridge consists of a molded, high purity polypropylene “syringe-barrel” body, with two polyethylene frits that contain the packing material. A standard male-Luer tip allows for use with multi-position vacuum manifolds. Cartridge sizes can range from 1 cc to 60 ccs, containing sorbent weights from 5 mg up to 10 g or more. Vac RC cartridges offer similar features and benefits but are designed to contain a larger reservoir capacity, allowing for the processing of greater volumes of samples and solvents.
