IC-Pak Anion HR Column, 4.6 mm x 75 mm, 1/pk
Waters offers a range of columns for ion chromatography, including both anion and cation analysis. The IC-Pak Anion HR Column is a resin-based column that allows chromatographers to analyze a full range of ions from numerous sample matrices, both simple and complex. They also offer an exceptional linear loading range, beginning at less than 1.0 ppb and reaching 400 ppm without dilution and with no pH limitations on eluent or sample. With this flexibility, you can achieve accurate and reproducible anion analyses at any concentration level.
The IC-Pak Anion HR Column is recommended for the analysis of inorganic anions and is a configuration of 10 µm anion-exchange packing material with a short column length, creating an ideal column for rapid routine analyses. As a stainless steel anion column, this allows separation and quantification of a range of anions, including F, CI, NO2, Br, NO3, HPO4^2, and SO4^2 anions at ppb levels.
The packing material used is a polymethacrylate resin with a quaternary ammonium functional group. Columns are shipped in 1.3 mM gluconic acid/1.2 mM boric acid (pH 8.5). This model has an inner diameter of 4.6 mm and a length of 75 mm with a 6 µm particle size.
As a part of Waters’ Alliance System for Chromatography Analysis, there is a range of lab equipment for ion chromatography, the IC-Pak Anion HR Column can be used alongside other products like the Acrodisc, Syringe Filter, IC, 13 mm, 0.45 µm, Ion Chromatography, 100/pk for Ion Chromatography. The Alliance system offers an unprecedented level of flexibility, providing high sensitivity conductivity detection, ion retention selectivity, high throughput, and choice of IC detect strategies.
How Do I Install The IC-Pak Anion HR Column?
To install a stainless steel column, you should first remove end plugs from the column to be saved for use in storage. The column’s outlet will be indicated by an arrow on the label that shows which direction the solvent should flow. You will then thread the inlet and outlet fittings into the column until finger tight and tighten the fittings, being sure not to over-tighten as it will damage the connection. When a new column is connected or a damaged compression screw or ferrule is removed, you can prepare a new tubing or ferrule connection.
