Ion Exclusion Column, 7 µm, 7.8 mm x 300 mm, 1/pk
All Water IC-PAK Ion Exclusion Columns provide durable columns for repetitive analyses at high sensitivities. These columns are nominal 7µm, spherical, fully sulfonated resin.
IC-Pak Ion Exclusion Columns are shipped in 10 parts methanol and 90 parts water and require equilibration with the test eluent or mobile phase to use. You can equilibrate the Ion Exclusion column with the desired eluent for 10 minutes at 0.5mL/min to remove most of the methanol, followed up ramping up to 1.0mL/min in 60 seconds, allowing the pump pressure to stabilize between 0.1mL/min increments. After maintaining the flow at 1.0mL/min for 20 minutes, you can proceed with your analysis.
The Waters Ion Exclusion Column is manufactured at a cGMP, ISO 9001 certified plant using ultra-pure reagents, like all Waters manufactured products. Each batch of IC-Pak Column packing material is tested chromatographically, and the results are held to the highest standards to ensure excellent, reproducible performance batch over batch and column to column. Every column is individually tested, and a Performance Chromatogram and Certificate of Batch Analysis are shipped with it to give you peace of mind.
Liquid chromatography columns have a finite shelf life and lifetime, which is directly related to the care and use the columns receive. Column life can be significantly impacted and reduced by contamination from samples and eluents, frequent eluent changeover, and improper handling and storage. When storing the IC-Pak Ion Exclusion column, don't store the column in water alone as this may lead to bacterial growth in the column. The column should be stored in 1 10% aqueous solution of methanol to hinder any bacterial growth. THe IC-Pak Ion Exclusion Column should be stored in its box with compression screws to firmly grab the column in its place, thereby allowing the column time to dry out.
Find various products that are compatible with the Ion Exclusion Column, including guards, vials, and elution plates from our website. The website enables you to shop for lab equipment, as well as to reach out to us with any queries or information you may need.
We recommend you also check out the LCMS Certified Clear Glass 12 x 32 mm Screw Neck Vial, with Cap and Preslit PTFE/Silicone Septum, 2 mL Volume, 100/pk; all of the Waters LCMS Certified vials are produced following tightly controlled manufacturing processes and handling procedures. They are tested with mass spectrometers and come packaged with a certificate of analysis showing the reference and vial scan for the manufacturing lot so you can rest assured you are receiving the best quality product.
What Is The Maximum Pressure The Ion Exclusion Column Can Operate Up To?
The Ion Exclusion Column can tolerate operating pressures up to 2000 psi (or 140 Bar). However, you should note that working at the extremes of pressures, pH, and/or temperatures will result in shorter column lifetimes.
