PREP C18 55-105 µm 125Å 1/KG

Leverage a cost-effective means for scale-up of preparative processes while maintaining excellent reproducibility with the Waters PREP C18 55-105 µm 125Å 1/KG.

The Waters PREP C18 55-105 µm 125Å 1/KG is part of the Preparative family of packing materials and is based on a 55–105 μm Porasil silica. The selectivity of Prep silica is identical to 10, 15–20, and 37–55 μm Porasil. The Prep C18 offers a slightly different selectivity than Bondapak packings.

The packing used in the manufacturing of the Waters PREP C18 55-105 µm 125Å 1/KG has been specially designed for usage from analytical to process scale purification. The primary purpose for analytical method developments in the pharmaceutical and food industries is for subsequent process scale purification. The analytical steps are used to reduce the cost incurable in erroneous large-scale purification steps. The PREP C18 55-105 µm 125Å 1/KG helps you achieve direct scalability, which is one of the most powerful aspects of modern chromatography. It enables a reliable estimation of productivity and costs at a large scale very early in the process development phase.

The Waters PREP C18 55-105 µm 125Å 1/KG is part of the family of preparative columns that address the many challenges that come with Laboratory-scale HPLC purification. One of the most frustrating challenges is inconsistency, which relates to the preparative column itself. Inconsistencies appear in column-to-column performance and lifetimes. They often result in lost samples, repeat purification runs, and poor scalability from small- to large-volume columns. Waters scientists have done extensive research over a 3-year period and studied all aspects of the packing processes as well as the column design to address the issues. This resulted in the Waters proprietary* Optimum Bed Density (OBD) design which enables stable operations by optimizing the bed density to withstand the compressive fluid forces encountered during use.

Waters offers a number of different bulk packing materials for lab-to-process scale purifications. All our packing materials are manufactured under cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) ensuring a reproducible material for long-term reproducibility. Our manufacturing facilities are ISO 9001-certified.
