IC-Pak Anion Column, 10 µm, 4.6 mm x 50 mm, 1/pk
The Waters IC-Pak Anion Column is a resin-based column that separates a full range of ions from complex sample matrices. The lab equipment offers an exceptional linear loading range, from less than 1.0 ppb to greater than 400 ppm, without dilution and without pH limitations on eluent or sample. The IC-Pak Anion Column has been designed for the analysis of inorganic anions. The IC-Pak Anion Column is a stainless steel column that can separate and quantify many anions, such as F-, CI-, NO2-, Br-, NO3-, HPO4 2-, and SO4 2- anions at ppb levels.
The packing material of the IC-Pak Anion Column is a polymethacrylate resin with a quaternary ammonium functional group. This gives it the flexibility for accurate and reproducible anion analyses at all concentration levels. The column is shipped in 1.3 mM gluconic acid/1.3 mM boric acid (pH 8.5).
The Waters IC-Pak Anion Column is manufactured at a cGMP, ISO 9001 certified plant using ultra-pure reagents, like all Waters manufactured products. Each batch of IC-Pak Anion Column packing material is tested chromatographically and the results are held to stringent standards to ensure excellent, reproducible performance. Every column is individually tested and a Performance Chromatogram and Certificate of Batch Analysis are provided on the eCord™ Intelligent Chip.

How Should A High pH Mobile Phase Be Prepared For Use With The IC-Pak Anion Column?
If a high pH mobile phase (greater than 9) is to be used with the IC-Pak Anion Column, the use of a soda-lime or AscariteTM absorbing trap is recommended. In case the recommended solutions are not used, CO2 absorption from air contact with the reservoir may cause changes in pH and ionic strength and impair reproducibility. Sparging with helium is another recommended method to avoid this problem.
