Viridis BEH 2-Ethylpyridine OBD Prep Column, 130Å, 5 µm, 10 mm X 250 mm, 1/pk

Viridis Supercritical Fluid Chromatography (SFC) columns introduce a new level of reproducibility to the realm of laboratory scale purification by combining cutting-edge media manufacture with industry-leading column technology. Viridis Silica 2-Ethylpyridine, Silica, BEH 2-EP, BEH, and CSH Fluoro-Phenyl columns are offered for analytical and preparative chromatography. Waters' patented Optimum Bed Density (OBD) Technology is used to give added mechanical stability and prolonged column lifetimes in all semi-prep and preparative column forms.

Viridis Columns add achiral SuperCritical Fluid (SFC) selectivities to the mix. These columns comprise particle technologies such as Ethylene Bridged Hybrid (BEH), Charged Surface Hybrid (CSH), and High-Strength Silica (HSS). BEH is the basis for the lab equipment listed below. Under SuperCritical Fluid (SFC) conditions, the decrease and manipulation of surface silanol activity on Virids particles produce extraordinary peak geometries, particularly for well-retained basic achiral chemicals.

These columns, like other Waters equipment, are built in specialized Waters facilities. All Water plants and facilities follow the most severe cGMP and ISO 9001 requirements. Each stage of the manufacturing process is rigorously examined and monitored, providing the highest quality equipment in your labs.

You may replace your stock and add to your existing equipment portfolio by browsing through our shop for lab equipment on our website and in our catalog. Products that work with the analytical column, such as the Viridis BEH 2-Ethylpyridine OBD Prep Column, are also available. You can contact a member of our staff at one of our worldwide offices across the world with your questions and concerns.

You may also be interested in the HILIC QC Reference Material, which was developed to serve as a baseline for this type of separation. It is a four-component mixture that contains an un-retained void marker, a polar neutral compound, and two polar basic compounds and was developed specifically as a batch test standard for ACQUITY UPLC BEH HILIC columns. The shelf life of the HILIC QC Reference Material is 12 months, and it may be conveniently stored in your lab at 4 degrees Celsius.

How Should I Go About Filtering?

Fill the syringe with roughly 1 mL of air before adding the sample. This will allow air to escape with the sample from the syringe. This "air purge" reduces the amount of fluid retained within the filter mechanism. Fill the syringe with the filtered solution next. Holding the filter device in one hand, twist the loaded syringe to the filter device (without using too much force). To begin filtering, apply mild pressure.
