XTerra MS C18 OBD Prep Column, 125Å, 10 µm, 10 mm X 250 mm, 1/pk
XTerra Prep columns bring the benefits of Hybrid Particle Technology to isolation and purification applications in discovery and development laboratories. XTerra Prep MS columns possess our patented Hybrid Particle Technology, with particles engineered specifically for prep. It allows you to routinely operate at pH 1-12 so you can load up to 60X more onto the column. More capacity results in fewer injections for the same amount of pure material or more material with the same number of injections. In the discovery world, this greater capacity means you can use a shorter column, producing the same amount of material in half the time.
The XTerra MS C18 OBD Prep Column has greater pH stability when compared to a silica-based column. The lab equipment is a hybrid-based, reversed-phase C18 column that has been built to work with mass spectrometry applications. Sharp peak forms, outstanding sensitivity, and big peak forms are all features of the XTerra MS C18 OBD Prep Column. This is made possible by utilizing the XTerra particles' tri-functional bonding chemistry. When compared to traditional silica-based columns, the lab equipment provides one of the longest lives over the widest pH range, as well as maximum productivity with exceptional resolution and ultra-low column bleed.
Waters Hybrid Particle Technology was used to create the packing materials for the XTerra MS C18 OBD Prep Column. The particles combine the benefits of both silica and organosiloxane components because they comprise both inorganic (silica) and organic (organosiloxane) components. When compared to silica-based reversed-phase packing materials, this hybrid technology allows the XTerra MS C18 OBD Prep Column to provide great separation efficiency and better pH stability.
The XTerra MS C18 Column is made with only ultrapure reagents, and the chemical composition and purity of the hybrid particle are strictly controlled. Every stage of the production process is meticulously regulated and carried out within tight tolerances. In addition, each column is individually tested to ensure that you receive only the highest quality laboratory equipment. Certificates of Batch Analysis and Column Efficiency are also provided with each column to ensure quality.
We recommend that you also use the XTerra MS C18 Prep Guard Cartridge, 125Å, 10 µm, 10 mm X 10 mm, 1/pk. Made using the exact same packing materials as the prep column, the guard cartridge is designed to prolong the life of the column and to help deliver outstanding by removing any unwanted pollutants from entering the mobile phase.
Does The XTerra MS C18 OBD Prep Column Have Any pH Limitations?
This particular XTerra MS C18 OBD Prep Column offers a wide pH range to work with. The minimum pH is 1, and the maximum is 12.
