The Symmetry C4 VanGuard Cartridge serves its job by being placed between the injector and the analytical column. The lab equipment improves the efficiency of the analytical column by obstructing the entry of chemical impurities and suspended particles. All 3.9 mm and 4.6 mm I.D. Symmetry C4 analytical columns with 5 µm sorbent particles are specifically protected by this cartridge. The lab equipment can be used with the Symmetry C4 column because it is constructed from the same packing material.

We recommend that you also invest in the LCGC Certified Clear Glass 12 x 32 mm Screw Neck Vial, with Cap and Preslit PTFE/Silicone Septum, 2 mL Volume, 100/pk. These vials are made to meet the requirements of LC/GC certification and to take into account all aspects of use, including volatility, tray design, and needle design. An HPLC test is performed on every vial to check for traces of compounds introduced during processing and manufacture. The better resealing properties of the PTFE/Silicone septum will help with repeated injections and sample storage. These vials have PTFE chemical resistance up until rupture, at which point the silicone chemical compatibility of the septum kicks in. This permits operating temperatures between -40 C and 200 C.
