Symmetry C18 VanGuard Cartridge, 300Å, 5 µm, 3.9 mm X 5 mm, 3/pk

By removing particulate contamination from the mobile phase stream, Symmetry 300 C18 VanGuard Cartridges are used to extend the analytical column lifetime and performance of the Symmetry C18 Analytical Column. This cartridge is designed to protect all Symmetry 300 C18 analytical columns with 3.9 mm and 4.6 mm I.D. and 5 µm sorbent particles.

The Symmetry C18 VanGuard Cartridge can be added to your equipment to help you achieve high repeatability in your chromatographic results. The Symmetry C18 VanGuard Cartridge enables Symmetry columns to continue to set the standard for HPLC drug testing, giving you confidence in the long-term compliance of your HPLC methods. Because the Symmetry C18 Column does not need to be revalidated, and you will not have to redevelop procedures with each batch of new columns, you will save labor and lab costs that would otherwise accumulate with traditional analytical columns that require continuous monitoring and QC testing.

Waters developed the Symmetry C18 Column and VanGuard Cartridge using high-purity raw materials and column packing techniques, resulting in one of the most reproducible HPLC columns available. The Symmetry C18 VanGuard Cartridge is manufactured in cGMP, ISO9001, and ISO13485 certified Waters facilities, where each step of the manufacturing process is meticulously monitored, and the strictest conditions are maintained. This enables the Symmetry C18 VanGuard Cartridges to be manufactured to the market's strictest specifications, ensuring consistent results every time, and it is shipped with a three-page Certificate of Analysis that includes the requirements as well as the results of critical tests that each column must pass before being quality certified.

This reference material can be separated using a variety of techniques.

What Are Quaternary Amines?

An amine salt known as a quaternary amine contains a nitrogen atom with four groups bonded to it and a positive charge. The positively charged surface-active agents, also known as cationic surfactants, readily bind to the negatively charged surface of most microbes. It is used as a disinfectant and cleaning agent in a variety of industries.
