CORTECS C18+ Column, 90Å, 2.7 µm, 4.6 mm X 100 mm, 1/pk

The CORTECS C18+ Column is a general-purpose, high-efficiency reversed-phase column whose positively charged surface delivers excellent peak shape for basic compounds at low pH. The C18 ligand of the CORTECS C18+ Column is preferred for its excellent retention and stability. The column enables you to resolve complex mixtures or maintain resolution while increasing throughput, making it an ideal piece of lab equipment.

The CORTECS C18+ Columns are based on solid-core particles, which give improved performance by lowering each of the three terms of the van Deemter equation. The A term is lowered as the solid core particles pack more uniformly, the B term is lowered as the solid core particles exhibit lower particle porosity which reduces axial diffusion, and they lower the C term as their solid core improves heat transfer, reducing radial temperature gradients.

By using the CORTECS C18+ Column, you are able to use a shorter column length compared to the original separation while maintaining similar peak capacities and delivering faster re-equilibration times. This clear advantage of analysis speed without compromising on separation performance makes it possible to run more samples in parallel, thus reducing lab operation costs. In addition to this, you can increase sample throughput with comparable or even better peak capacities by simply raising the flow rate of the method.

To learn more about the chemistry of the CORTECS C18+ Column and its available variants, please check our website. It also has a catalog with the complete range of our products to meet all your analytical needs and enables you to shop for lab equipment directly from us.

You may also be interested in the CORTECS C18+ VanGuard Cartridge, 90Å, 2.7 µm, 3.9 mm X 5 mm, 3/pk; the CORTECS C18+ VanGuard Cartridge is designed to protect your analytical column and to extend its lifetime by removing any particulate or chemical contamination.

What Are The Most Suitable Pressure And Temperature Limits For The Cortecs C18+ Column?

This CORTECS C18+ Column can withstand pressure up to 18,000 psi (or 1240 Bar) and a maximum temperature of 45 degrees. It also has a pH range of 2 to 8; however, you should note that working at the extremes of pressures, pH, and/or temperatures will result in shorter column lifetimes and effectiveness.
