CORTECS HILIC Column, 90Å, 2.7 µm, 2.1 mm X 100 mm, 1/pk
Using the CORTECS HILIC Column, achieve excellent levels of efficiency and performance while resolving complicated mixes or retaining resolution while boosting throughput. The CORTECS HILIC Column has orthogonal selectivity as compared to regular C18 columns. It is a high-efficiency column with a solid-core particle that is designed to retain strongly polar analytes, making it an important piece of laboratory equipment.
With the CORTECS HILIC Column, you may expect faster separations and higher throughput. The lab equipment employs the Hydrophilic Interaction Chromatography (HILIC) mode, which was intended to retain polar chemicals where reversed-phase could not due to the usage of unbonded solid-core particles in reversed-phase. The column has a high level of retention and stability. HILIC uses mobile phases with a high concentration of organic solvent, as opposed to reversed-phase chromatography, which uses a very aqueous mobile phase for the retention of polar analytes. This allows it to work directly with SPE eluates, allowing for faster sample preparation and increased throughput. Higher organic solvent concentrations allow for more effective desolvation of analytes in the MS source, resulting in increased MS response and sensitivity.
The CORTECS HILIC Column is made up of solid-core particles that improve performance by decreasing each of the van Deemter equation's three terms. As the solid core particles pack more uniformly, the A term decreases. Because the solid core particles have lower particle porosity, axial diffusion is reduced, and the B term is reduced. Their solid core enhances heat transport and reduces radial temperature gradients, lowering the C term.

What Does It Mean When It is Stated 'The Expressions Of A Protein'?
Protein expression is the intricate process by which proteins are synthesized, modified, and controlled within living organisms. It encompasses the entire lifecycle of proteins, from their generation to regulation. The term "protein expression" can encompass both the subject of study, i.e., the proteins themselves, as well as the laboratory techniques employed to produce proteins in research settings. It serves as a comprehensive term capturing the dynamic nature of protein synthesis and manipulation in biological systems.
