CORTECS C18 Column, 90Å, 2.7 µm, 4.6 mm X 30 mm, 1/pk

The Waters CORTECS C18 Column was created with versatility and great productivity in mind. Based on a solid-core particle, it provides balanced retention of acids, bases, and neutrals at low and mid-range pH levels. These characteristics of the analytical column allow for the production of excellent peak shapes for basic analytes at low pH.

Use the all-purpose, charged surface CORTECS C18 Column to resolve complicated combinations or to retain resolution while boosting throughput. The solid-core particles on which the Waters CORTECS C18 Column is built provide greater performance by decreasing each of the three terms in the van Deemter equation, which enables the column to provide such excellent results. The B term is dropped because the solid core particles have lower particle porosity, which reduces axial diffusion, while the A term is lowered because the solid core particles pack more uniformly. Their solid core enhances heat transport, lowering radial temperature gradients, which lowers the C term.

By simply increasing the method's flow rate, the column enables you to boost sample throughput while maintaining or even improving peak capacities. The lab equipment also allows for the employment of columns with shorter lengths than those used for the original separation while preserving similar peak capacities and providing shorter re-equilibration times. By using the CORTECS C18 Column, you may run more samples in the same amount of time without having to worry about the performance of the separation. This lowers the expense of running your lab.

We recommend that you also use the Waters CORTECS C18 VanGuard Cartridge, 90Å, 2.7 µm, 3.9 mm X 5 mm, 3/pk in conjunction with the CORTECS C18 column. Manufactured using the same packing materials as those present in the column, the cartridge has been developed to prevent any unwanted contaminants, both chemical and particulate, from entering the mobile phase by filtering them out. This gives more accurate analysis results while enhancing the lifetime of the column.

What Is The pH Range Offered By The CORTECS C18 Column?
