CORTECS C18+ Method Validation Kit, 90Å, 1.6 µm, 2.1 mm X 100 mm, 3/pk

The CORTECS C18+ Method Validation Kit gives you access to three cutting-edge CORTECS columns with varying packings, C18 (RP18, ODS, Octadecyl). The CORTECS C18+ Column is a high-efficiency reversed-phase column with a positively charged surface that delivers excellent peak shape for basic compounds at low pH. The C18 ligand of the CORTECS C18+ Column is preferred because of its higher retention and stability.

The CORTECS C18+ Columns' solid-core particles improve performance by lowering each of the three terms in the van Deemter equation. They reduce the C term because the solid core particles pack more consistently, improving heat transfer and minimizing radial temperature gradients, and they reduce the A term because the solid core particles pack more uniformly. They also minimize the B and C terms because the particle porosity of the solid core particles is reduced, which reduces axial diffusion.

In comparison to the original separation, the CORTECS C18+ Column enables you to employ a shorter column length while maintaining the same peak capacities and giving faster re-equilibration times. The capacity to analyze several samples concurrently while retaining separation performance is a distinct advantage of analysis speed, which reduces lab operating costs. Furthermore, by raising the flow rate of the technique, you can boost sample throughput while maintaining or even exceeding peak capacity.

The column is an ideal piece of laboratory equipment because it enables you to resolve complex mixtures or retain resolution while increasing throughput. The CORTECS C18+ Column offers a high degree of resolution selectivity. Its groundbreaking improvements to particle surfaces and distinctive substrate characteristics make method construction quicker. See what else Waters has to offer that is similar to or compatible with the CORTECS C18+ Column by browsing our catalog or shop for lab equipment on our website.

We also recommend that you review the HILIC QC Reference Material. The HILIC QC Reference Material was developed as a standard to use in benchmarking this type of separation. It is a four-component mixture containing an un-retained void marker, a polar neutral compound, and two polar basic compounds that enable a stable chromatographic separation for HILIC columns. It was developed specifically as a batch test standard for ACQUITY UPLC BEH HILIC columns.

What Are The Ideal Pressure And Temperature Ranges For The CORTECS C18+ Columns?

This CORTECS C18+ Column can withstand temperatures as high as 45°F and pressures as high as 18,000 psi (or 1240 bar). It has a pH range of 2 to 8, although working at high pressures, pH levels, or temperatures will reduce the lifespan and usefulness of the columns.
