XSelect CSH C18 XP Column, 130Å, 2.5 µm, 4.6 mm X 50 mm, 1/pk

XSelect CSH C18 columns are general purpose C18 columns that provide alternative selectivity compared to other C18 sorbents. Charged Surface Hybrid (CSH) technology enables superior peak shape and increased loading capacity for basic compounds. Packed in ultra-low dispersion hardware, 2.5 µm eXtended Performance [XP] columns enable exceptional separation performance, robustness and throughput for HPLC assays while enabling a seamless transition path toward UPLC adoption.

These columns are produced in a cGMP, ISO 9001 certified plant and are made using only the purest reagents. The rigorous testing process gives you the confidence that your lab equipment exceeds the stringent standards for the lab equipment industry and that your columns will provide you industry leading batch to batch reproducibility.

This column utilizes cutting edge Charged Surface Hybrid technology. This technology starts with the use of the rugged and ultra efficient Ethylene Bridged Hybrid particle and applies a controlled surface charge that is extremely reproducible. Finally the particle is bonded and endcapped to functionalize it with the appropriate phase chemistry. The use of CSH technology in the XSelect CSH C18 XP Column enables it to provide you with superior peak shape for basic compounds, increased loading capacity, and rapid re-equilibration after changing mobile phase pH. It also increases batch to batch reproducibility and exceptional low pH stability.

The XSelect XP family of columns from waters offers you durable column lifetimes and 40% lower back pressure. The increased throughput and long column lifetime you will get out of this column provides you with a range of benefits including improved productivity, lower cost per sample, and faster time to market. This 2.5 micrometer XP column utilizes advanced packing technology to provide exceptional performance and equivalent backpressure compared to core shell columns. This column also exhibits improved loading capacity and particle size scalability inherent of a fully porous particle column.

Your XSelect CSH C18 XP Column is at danger of harm from chemical contamination in the mobile phase stream during each separation. This particulate contamination can degrade column performance and dramatically reduce the lifetime of your column. If you want to save the drastic cost of prematurely replacing your columns you may want to consider purchasing our XSelect CSH C18 XP VanGuard Cartridge, 130Å, 2.5 µm, 3.9 mm X 5 mm, 3/pk. XSelect CSH C18 VanGuard Cartridges are used to extend analytical column lifetime and performance by removing particulate contamination from the mobile phase stream. This cartridge is optimized to protect all 4.6 mm I.D. XSelect CSH C18 analytical columns containing 2.5 µm sorbent particles.

What is dwell volume?

Dwell volume is different from system band spreading. System dwell volume is a measurement of the volume it takes for the initial gradient conditions to reach the head of the column. This calculation is particularly useful when it is necessary to transfer a method between LC systems.
