Product Description

ACQUITY BEH HILIC columns contain unbonded BEH substrate and are designed to retain and separate very polar compounds. These unique columns are optimized and tested to produce efficient, reproducible separations under HPLC HILIC conditions. More rugged than silica based HILIC phases, the BEH particle’s chemical stability results in long column lifetimes.

ACQUITY UPLC BEH HILIC Column, 130Å, 1.7 µm, 3 mm X 100 mm, 1/pk

The ACQUITY UPLC BEH HILIC Column utilizes Hydrophilic-Interaction Chromatography (HILIC), a complementary chromatographic technique that can successfully improve the retention of extremely polar species. Furthermore, it offers an orthogonal separation mode for mixtures of polar and ionizable compounds. This is accomplished by combining an acetonitrile-rich, low-aqueous mobile phase with a polar stationary phase to elute analytes in decreasing order of hydrophilicity.

To achieve unprecedented levels of efficiency, peak symmetry, and chemical stability, use the ACQUITY UPLC BEH HILIC Column. The analytical column provides exceptionally low and high pH stability for very polar analytes. The use of the ACQUITY UPLC BEH HILIC Column allows the user to take advantage of a wide mobile phase pH range (1-9). In addition, the analytical column has an operating pressure of up to 18,000 psi (1240 bar) for superior analysis.

ACQUITY BEH HILIC columns have an unbonded BEH substrate and are intended to retain and separate highly polar compounds. These one-of-a-kind columns have been optimized and tested to provide efficient, repeatable separations under HPLC HILIC conditions. More rugged than silica-based HILIC phases, the BEH particle's chemical stability results in long column lifetimes.

You may also be interested in ACQUITY UPLC BEH HILIC VanGuard Pre-column, 130Å, 1.7 µm, 2.1 mm X 5 mm, 3/pk; ACQUITY BEH HILIC columns contain unbonded BEH substrate and are designed to retain and separate very polar compounds. The VanGuard pre-column connects directly to the inlet of the ACQUITY UPLC column, which minimizes extra column volumes and reduces leaking by eliminating additional connections.

What Is the Definition of Elution?

Elution is the chromatographic process of extracting an adsorbed substance from a solid adsorbing medium using a solvent or the separation of an antibody from the antigen to which it is attached. The eluent or eluant in the process is the "carrier" portion of the mobile phase that moves the analytes through the chromatograph.
