XBridge BEH HILIC columns contain unbonded BEH substrate and are designed to retain and separate very polar compounds. These unique columns are optimized and tested to produce efficient, reproducible separations under HPLC HILIC conditions. More rugged than silica based HILIC phases, the BEH particle’s chemical stability results in long column lifetimes.

For polar analytes, the XBridge BEH HILIC Column offers improved retention. Partitioning, ion exchange, and hydrogen bonding are all used in conjunction with the lab equipment's HILIC technology to create complex retention mechanisms. Better retention than with a reversed-phase is achieved when a polar stationary phase is combined with mobile phases that have acetonitrile concentrations greater than 80%. The analytical column offers complementary selectivity in addition to reversed-phase columns.
