SunFire C18 OBD Prep Column, 100Å, 5 µm, 30 mm X 250 mm, 1/pk
SunFire Columns are regarded as top-of-the-line bonded C18 Silica HPLC Columns. These column series came to fruition at Waters after extensive research to provide industry-leading levels of chromatographic performance, representing the best in particle and bonding expertise. The SunFire Column series are known for their excellent low-pH stability, high chromatographic efficiency, and superior peak shapes for charged analytes species. Compared to many traditional silica-based HPLC column brands, the SunFire C18 OBD Prep Column offers superior low pH stability that enhances column lifetime.
The sorbent used in the SunFire C18 OBD Prep Column uses new bonding and end-capping technologies that result in superior peak shape performance. This enables you to achieve symmetrical peaks for improved resolution and quantitation of acidic, neutral, and basic compounds at low and intermediate pH ranges. In addition to this, the proprietary, state-of-the-art silica synthesis, bonding, end-capping, and packing technologies used in the manufacturing of the SunFire C18 OBD Prep Column, result in lab equipment that is highly efficient and offers greater sensitivity.
The combination of OBD Column design with efficient SunFire Particles eliminates the need for any time-consuming method reoptimization. This unique combination leads to equivalent chromatographic performance when scaling up from pilot analytical to preparative columns. With the SunFire C18 Column, you will get symmetrical peaks for improved resolution and quantitation of acidic, neutral, and basic compounds at low and intermediate pH ranges.

This cartridge is optimized to protect all 2.1 mm and 3.0 mm I.D. SunFire C18 analytical columns containing 3.5 µm sorbent particles.
What Are The Operating Limitations Of The SunFire C18 OBD Prep Column?
The SunFire C18 OBD Prep Column can operate easily between an extensive pH range of 2 to 8 and up to a maximum of 6000psi (or 415 Bar) pressure. However, you should note that working at the extremes of pressures, pH and/or temperatures will result in shorter column lifetimes.
