These columns are specially tested with a peptide map in order to ensure scientists will get stability of peptide separations methods as well as predictable behavior with the range of different samples that it can be used for-- such as proteomics, protein characterization, and peptide synthesis.

XBridge Peptide BEH C18 Column is shipped in 100% acetonitrile. It is important to ensure mobile phase compatibility before changing to a different mobile phase system. We highly recommend to Equilibrate the column with a minimum of 10 column volumes of the mobile phase to be used. To ensure you can avoid precipitating out mobile phase buffers on your column or in your system, flush the column with another five column volumes of a water/organic solvent mixture, using the same or lower solvent content as in your desired buffered mobile phase.

Temperatures between 20 - 80 degrees Celsius are recommended for operating the XBridge Peptide BEH C18 Column in order to enhance selectivity, lower solvent viscosity, and increase mass transfer rates. XBridge Peptide BEH C18 Column can tolerate a pressure up to 6000 psi (or 415 bar). We advise maintaining pressure and temperature within the ambient range, as anything over the ranges will have a negative effect on the lifetime of the column depending on the pH and buffer conditions used.
