Symmetry C18 Column, 100Å, 5 µm, 3 mm X 250 mm, 1/pk

With the addition of the Symmetry C18 Column to your equipment, you will be able to obtain high repeatability in chromatographic findings. This is made possible thanks to the monofunctional bound C18 ligand utilized in the manufacture of the Symmetry C18 Column in combination with high purity base-deactivated Silica. One of the narrowest ligand surface coverage (ligand density) specifications in the market is found in the Symmetry C18 Column, which produces minimal variations in resolution and repeatable batch-to-batch results. You get exceptional reproducibility year after year in your lab with the Symmetry C18 Column.

Waters built the Symmetry C18 Column using high purity raw materials and column packing techniques which enabled it to be among the most reproducible HPLC columns. The Symmetry C18 Column is also provided with a three-page Certificate of Analysis which provides the specifications as well as the results of 22 crucial tests that each column needs to clear before being quality certified.

Since the Symmetry C18 Column doesn't need to be revalidated and you won't have to build new procedures for each batch of new columns, you will avoid the labor and lab expenditures that traditionally analytical columns incur due to the ongoing monitoring and QC testing they require.

The Symmetry C18 Column is made in the cGMP, ISO9001, and ISO13485 certified dedicated Waters facilities, where each step of the manufacturing process is rigorously monitored, and the tightest conditions are enforced. This enables the production of the Symmetry C18 Columns to give the strictest requirements in the market to provide reliable results every time.

We also recommend you review the Symmetry C18 VanGuard Cartridge, 100Å, 3.5 µm, 2.1 mm X 5 mm, 3/pk. It is used to extend analytical column lifetime and performance by removing particulate contamination from the mobile phase stream. This cartridge is optimized to protect all 2.1 mm and 3.0 mm I.D. Symmetry C18 analytical columns containing 3.5 µm sorbent particles.

What Procedure Is Followed To Equilibrate A Symmetry C18 Column?

Prior to switching to another mobile phase system, it is crucial to confirm mobile phase compatibility in order to undertake column equilibration. A minimum of 10 column volumes of the mobile phase that will be utilized should be used to equilibrate the column. To avoid precipitating out mobile phase buffers on your column or in the system, flush the column with five column volumes of a water/organic solvent mixture, using the same or lower solvent content as in the desired buffered mobile phase. Please note that 100-200 column volumes may be required for complete equilibration if mobile phase additives are present in low quantities.
