XTerra Shield RP18 Column, 125Å, 3.5 µm, 4.6 mm X 100 mm, 1/pk
Invest in the Xterra Shield RP18 Column so you can easily improve peak shape performance for highly basic compounds. The lab equipment is a general-purpose, hybrid-based, reversed-phase C18 column that incorporates Waters patented embedded polar group technology. The XTerra Shield RP18 column is a first-generation column that provides superior pH stability when it is compared to a silica-based column.
Overcome the significant limitations of the silica-based reversed-phase packing materials, specifically their hydrolytic instability at high pH, by using the XTerra Shield RP18 Column. The lab equipment uses the Waters patented organic/inorganic Hybrid Particle Technology (HPT), which makes it possible to offer distinctive advantages over the regular silica columns. The Waters XTerra family of reversed-phase HPLC columns is the first commercially available alternative to silica-based column technology.
Compared to the conventional silica columns available in the market, the Waters XTerra Shield RP18 offers key advantages. These include mechanical strength, highly spherical shape, purity, pore dimensions, surface area, the ability to tailor particle size, pore dimensions, surface area, and surface chemistry. The lab equipment accomplishes this by leveraging traditional bonding agents. It also enables the XTerra Shield RP18 column, a crucial piece of general-purpose lab equipment, to deliver peak shape performance for highly basic compounds, maintain high efficiency of separation, and improve pH stability. Using the XTerra Shield RP18 Column, you can operate within a wide-scale pH range (2-12).
The XTerra Shield RP18 Column uses a high purity methyl hybrid material that is produced through a method similar to how high-purity silica is manufactured with one major difference: that the XTerra material is formed from the mixed condensation of two high purity monomers instead of one. Tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) and methyltriethoxysilane (MTEOS) are used to perform the Hybrid Particle Synthesis of the XTerra Shield RP18 Column. Like all lab equipment manufactured by Waters, the XTerra Shield RP18 Column is also manufactured under ISO 9001 conditions, ensuring each step is conducted to the highest standards and narrowest tolerances.
