Product Description

CORTECS Shield RP18 columns provides complimentary selectivity to C8 and C18 stationary phases. The embedded carbamate group in the bonded phase ligand provides alternate selectivity, especially for phenolic compounds compared to straight chain alkyl columns. The solid core particle morphology offers high efficiency and lower backpressures when compared to fully porouse particles of similar particle size.

CORTECS Shield RP18 Column, 90Å, 2.7 µm, 3 mm X 75 mm, 3/pk

When it comes to HPLC separations of phenolic compounds, scientists everywhere are using the CORTECS Shield RP18 Column. Why?
For one thing, the CORTECS column line was designed to provide lab managers and scientists with LC products that maximize efficiency and pave a way to enhanced throughput. Even more, the CORTECS Shield RP18 Column provides alternate selectivity through its state-of-the-art embedded carbamate group.

Compare the solid-core morphology of the CORTECS Shield RP18 Column to columns with fully porous particles of similar size and you’ll see that the CORTECS wins out. This is partially due to the fact that all CORTECS columns can withstand lower backpressures without exhibiting decreased efficiency. That kind of reliability is built into all CORTECS HPLC columns and all Waters products in general.

How else does the embedded carbamate group enhance this UHPLC column?
The alternate selectivity mentioned earlier is apparent when comparing phenolic compound separations to separations achieved by straight chain alkyl columns. This adds up to an RP18 column that’s truly like no other.

Sample preparation and LC method transfer don’t have to be time-consuming obstacles when using the CORTECS Shield RP18 Column either, as this product provides results and is ready to be used again after a few simple steps. This helps cut down on productivity losses and in turn can boost business profitability. When Waters scientists design new lab equipment, they do so with scientists and business partners in mind.

Need to expand your liquid chromatography tool kit even further?
Shop CORTECS Columns and you’ll find liquid chromatography method development tools to accommodate difficult samples and even more difficult particle separations. And with VanGuard FIT Cartridges available on all CORTECS column chemistry options, a long and healthy life for your column is a sure thing.

Column protection is only one of the many obstacles that you’ll have to face during LC method development. To make sure your LC-MS equipment is running as it should, we have QCRM reference materials to help establish and uphold performance benchmarks. Even if you need vials to store your analytes, we’ve got you covered. Shop for lab equipment at Waters today with your lab manager or reach out to us for your needs.
