CORTECS C18 Column, 90Å, 2.7 µm, 2.1 mm X 100 mm, 3/pk

CORTECS C18 Columns are high-efficiency, general-purpose columns with solid-core particles that retain acids, bases, and neutrals in a balanced manner at low and mid-range pH. The CORTECS C18 material is a traditional C18 bonded phase that balances bases, acids, and neutrals at low and mid-range pH and provides good efficiency, resolution, and retention for complex analyte combinations. CORTECS C18 Columns are high-efficiency, general-purpose columns with solid-core particles that balance acids, bases, and neutrals at low and mid-range pH.

The CORTECS C18 Columns employ solid-core particles—particles technology to boost performance by lowering each of the van Deemter equation's three components. The A term is dropped because solid core particles pack more uniformly, the B term is lowered because solid core particles have lower particle porosity, which reduces axial diffusion, and the C term is lowered because solid core particles increase heat transfer, decreasing radial temperature gradients.

Chromatographers all over the world prefer the CORTECS C18 Columns because of the C18 ligand utilized in the column, which delivers the best retention and stability. The CORTECS C18 Column increases throughput while maintaining resolution, enabling you to handle even the most challenging samples and combinations.

This cartridge is optimized to protect all 2.1 mm and 3.0 mm I.D. CORTECS C18 analytical columns containing 2.7 µm sorbent particles.

In Terms Of Chromatography, How Would You Describe Resolution?

By evaluating peak width and retention time, chromatographers can enhance sample separations through the assessment of resolution. These two crucial factors directly influence the quality of chromatographic outcomes. Peak width represents the degree of separation between individual peaks, while retention time indicates the duration analytes spend on the stationary phase. By understanding and optimizing these parameters, chromatographers can achieve improved resolution, leading to more accurate and precise separations of sample components.

What Are The Recommended Operational Settings For The CORTECS C18 Column?

With a pH range of 2 to 8 and a maximum temperature of 45 degrees Celsius, the CORTECS C18 Column performs best at pressures of 18000 psi (or 1240 bar). While operating up to the aforementioned constraints is conceivable, be aware that doing so may harm your column and reduce its lifetime and effectiveness significantly.
