CORTECS C18 Column, 90Å, 2.7 µm, 2.1 mm X 50 mm, 3/pk
The solid-core CORTECS C18 Columns are high-efficiency, all-purpose columns that hold acids, bases, and neutrals in an appropriate balance at low and mid-range pH. The CORTECS C18 material is a conventional C18 bonded phase with outstanding efficiency, resolution, and retention for complicated analyte combinations. It balances bases, acids, and neutrals at low and mid-range pH levels. Acids, bases, and neutrals are balanced with CORTECS C18 Columns, which are high-efficiency general-purpose columns with a solid-core particle.
For all LC separations, CORTECS 2.7 µm Solid-Core Particle Columns maximize resolution and peak capacity. Their cutting-edge solid-core technology and bonding chemistry are available in both reversed-phase and HILIC phases, providing the ability to quickly separate a variety of compound classes. They have been optimized to increase the performance of HPLC and UHPLC instruments. The enhanced performance of CORTECS 2.7 µm Solid-Core Columns results in sharper and narrower peaks compared to columns utilizing totally porous substrates, enabling quicker flow rates at reduced operational backpressure.
The solid-core particles used in the CORTECS C18 Columns increase performance by reducing each of the three components of the van Deemter equation. The C term is lowered because solid core particles increase heat transfer, reducing radial temperature gradients; the B term is lowered because solid core particles have lower particle porosity, which reduces axial diffusion, and the A term is dropped because solid core particles pack more uniformly.
The C18 ligand used in the CORTECS C18 Columns, which provides the finest retention and stability, is the reason why chromatographers all over the world favor them. With the CORTECS C18 Column, you can handle even the most difficult samples and combinations while increasing throughput and retaining resolution.

You may also be interested in reviewing CORTECS C18 VanGuard Cartridge, 90Å, 2.7 µm, 2.1 mm X 5 mm, 3/pk; CORTECS C18 VanGuard Cartridges are used to enhance the lifetime and performance of analytical columns by eliminating particulates from the mobile phase stream. All 2.1 mm and 3.0 mm I.D. CORTECS C18 analytical columns with 2.7 µm sorbent particles are well-protected by this cartridge.
What Operational Parameters Are Recommended For The CORTECS C18 Column?
The CORTECS C18 Column operates best at pressures of 18000 psi, with a pH range of 2 to 8 and a maximum temperature of 45 degrees Celsius (or 1240 bar). Operating within the aforementioned restrictions is possible, but you should be aware that doing so could injure your column and substantially shorten its lifespan and efficacy.
