Connected Devices
Extend your automation beyond pipetting — with connected devices orchestrated through OneLab.
Waters Lab Automation is more than a liquid handling robot. It's a growing ecosystem of connected devices that bring shaking, heating, cooling, magnetic separation, solid phase extraction, plate sealing, and sample transfer into a single, software-controlled workflow. Every device connects to OneLab Software for remote setup, real-time monitoring, and automatic documentation — ensuring traceability, reproducibility, and compliance at every step.
One software, every device Every connected device is controlled and documented through OneLab Software — the same platform you use for Andrew+ Robot and Pipette+ Stand. Design a multi-step protocol once, and OneLab coordinates pipetting, shaking, heating, cooling, extraction, and more in a single traceable workflow. No separate software. No manual logging. No documentation gaps
Three modes of execution — your choice Every connected device works in three modes, matching your lab's automation maturity. In manual mode, OneLab guides you through each step while the device handles actions automatically and records every parameter. In assisted mode, pair the device with Pipette+ for a software-coordinated bench workflow with real-time pipetting instructions. In automated mode, Andrew+ Robot orchestrates the device as part of a fully walk-away protocol. Design once, then scale from bench to robot — same device, same protocol, no re-validation
Compliance built in, not bolted on Every setpoint, duration, start/stop timestamp, and labware ID is automatically logged by OneLab — no manual entries, no paper records. Connected devices support GxP, GLP/GMP, and 21 CFR Part 11 requirements, and their data is captured alongside pipetting data in a single unified digital record for the entire sample preparation workflow.
Integrated with Waters analytical instruments OneLab links sample preparation — including mixing, extraction, temperature control, and magnetic separation — directly to Empower, MassLynx, and waters_connect. This closes the loop from preparation to analytical result in a single traceable workflow, eliminating the documentation gap where compliance and data-integrity risks typically occur.
