BEH Technology: What Is It Exactly?
The 1.7 µm BEH (Ethylene Bridged Hybrid) particle, a key enabler of UPLC technology, is available in a range of pore sizes and bonded phases, enabling reversed-phase and hydrophilic interaction chromatography. The technology can be used for a variety of bio-pharmaceutical analyses, ranging from small molecules to large molecules. Because of the inherent chemical stability of hybrid particle technology, a wider pH range [pH 1-12] is usable. This also enables the creation of a versatile, robust separation technology. BEH particle technology comes in a variety of HPLC particle sizes [2.5, 3.5, 5, and 10 m], allowing for a seamless transition between HPLC and UPLC technology platforms.
