Sep-Pak Accell Plus QMA Carbonate Plus Light Cartridge, 46 mg Sorbent per Cartridge, 40 µm, 50/pk
The Sep-Pak Accell Plus QMA Carbonate Plus Light cartridge contains a silica-based, hydrophilic, strong anion-exchanger with a large pore size (300Å) and a carbonate counter-ion. These light cartridges are designed for the extraction of anionic analytes in aqueous and non-aqueous solutions when the chloride counter-ion in the standard cartridge interferes with the analysis.
With a distinctive dinned outer body and a reduced internal diameter, this light style cartridge has an interstitial volume of about one-third of the corresponding plus-style cartridge. This version of the lab equipment allows you to elute fractions in a minimal volume, improving recoveries and reducing solvent consumption. This is particularly important in applications where samples are limited or excessive dilution is a concern.
The Sep-Pak Accell Plus QMA Carbonate Plus Light Cartridge is part of Waters’ line of Sep-Pak Solid Phase Extraction products, the most referenced and widely used sample preparation technology in the industry. The Sep-Pak Accell Plus QMA line is recommended for applications such as isolation of anionic proteins; acidic pigments in wine, fruit juices, food extracts; phenolic compounds; peptide pool fractionation; and inorganic anions in environmental samples.
This cartridge is compatible with other products in the Sep-Pak line, such as the Sep-Pak Reservoir, 30 cc, 48/pk. Each order includes 50 cartridges with a particle size of 40 µm and a sorbent weight of 46 mg. The pH range is 2 pH to 8 pH, and the maximum hold-up volume is .15 mL, allowing for versatility and achievement of optimal results.
All Sep-Pak cartridges are manufactured in a Waters ISO 13485 and ISO 9002-registered facility in compliance with cGMP guidelines for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for Class 1 Medical Devices.
How Should I Store and Dispose of Used Sep-Pak Cartridges?
Any cartridge stored in the original sealed pouch will remain stable for long periods of time. To store an unused cartridge in a sealed pouch, squeeze the air out of the pouch, then fold over the open end of the pouch twice. Seal with tape and store in a secure desiccator. Used cartridges can be disposed of in accordance with the applicable government or local regulations. Sep-Pak cartridges should not be reused.
