Accurate amino acid composition analysis starts here

Obtaining accurate amino acid composition from cell culture media, protein/peptide hydrolysates, dairy and adult nutritional products, feeds and foods, and many other samples requires a rigorous and specific solution. For these challenging workflows, Waters offers a complete workflow solution, including columns, mobile-phase eluents, sample preparation kits, and amino acid application standards for use with UPLC, UHPLC, and HPLC instrumentation.

The AccQ•Tag Ultra Columns are designed for reversed-phase separation of amino acids derivatized with AccQ•Tag Ultra reagent. Each column is QC tested using Waters Amino Acid standard to ensure repeatable performance for your most demanding amino acid analysis. The 1.7 µm, AccQ•Tag Ultra C18 Columns are designed for use on Waters UPLC platforms, and the 2.5 µm, AccQ•Tag Ultra C18 Columns are designed for use on Waters HPLC and UHPLC platforms. Both columns deliver rapid separation of amino acids with superior resolution.

The AccQ•Tag Ultra Column is a critical component of the UPLC Amino Acid Analysis Solution, which is an integrated and synergistic combination of instrumentation, derivatization chemistry, separation column, eluents, methods, and software.  AccQ•Tag Columns for Amino Acid Analysis

AccQ•Tag Ultra Column (1.7 µm) for UPLC

Ensure accurate and precise amino acid analyses with a complete application solution. The AccQ•Tag Ultra Column is a critical component of the Amino Acid Analysis Solution. A turnkey Amino Acid Analysis (AAA) solution is available on Waters AQUITY UPLC H-Class Quaternary System, which is an integrated and synergistic combination of instrumentation, derivatization chemistry, separation column, eluents, methods, and software.

AccQ•Tag Ultra C18 Column (2.5 µm) for UHPLC and HPLC

The AccQ•Tag Ultra C18 Amino Acid Analysis 2.5 µm Columns are certified for use with the AccQ•Tag method. These HPLC columns separates the amino acid derivatives produced by the AccQ•Fluor derivatization reaction.

AccQ•Tag Column (4 µm) for HPLC

The AccQ•Tag Amino Acid Analysis 4 µm Columns is our first generation offering that was developed and certified for use with the AccQ•Tag method. These HPLC columns separate the amino acid derivatives produced by the AccQ•Fluor derivatization reaction. Use of Waters AccQTag Ultra C18 2.5 µm offering is recommended for those wanting accurate amino acid analysis on an appropriate Waters LC System.

Pico•Tag Column for HPLC

The Pico•Tag Amino Acid Analysis Column is a high-efficiency column specifically certified for use with the Pico•Tag method. This HPLC column separates the amino acid derivatives produced by phenylisothiocyanate (PITC) derivitization.

AccQ•Tag Derivatization

The AccQ•Tag method uses pre-column derivatized reagents to separate and easily detect fluorescence adducts using traditional HPLC instrumentation. The AccQ•Fluor reagent (6-aminoquinolyl-N-hydroxysuccinimidyl carbamate) is used to transform primary and secondary amines in a simple, single-step reaction to yield highly stable, fluorescent adducts that are detected using traditional HPLC.

Let Andrew+ pipette for you

One of the largest pain points in sample preparation is repetitive pipetting. Minimizing sources of contamination is also critical. The Andrew+ robotic pipetting platform helps alleviate those pain points and provides confidence and reliability when doing derivatization. With Andrew+ you get flexibility in the number of samples run using AccQ•Tag Ultra Automation Sample Preparation Kit (32, 64, 96 sample), verified protocols available in OneLab, compatibility with additional connected devices, self-guided installation, online troubleshooting, and help.
