UPLC technology provides the ability to chromatographically resolve the leucine isomers in less than 6 minutes with mass spectrometer friendly mobile phases. The method described here correlates well with a “gold standard” amino acid analyzer utilizing an ion-exchange methodology that takes nearly five times longer. This method yields excellent linearity, precision and sensitivity. This poster has been shown at ASMS 2006 (Clinical Chemistry II) and AACC.
