This application note demonstrates N-glycans are routinely monitored for the quality of biotherapeutics because they affect the safety and efficacy of many therapeutic proteins. Current glycan analysis is developed with the well-studied glycans from monoclonal antibodies (mAb). Here, we present a complementary method that provides a reproducible profile of N-glycans released from Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin (hCG), a highly complex glycoprotein with multiple disulfide bonds. The automated reduced protein protocol is suitable for commercial as well as research environments.
