Reversed-phase columns for peptide analysis (silica-based)

BioSuite™ C18, 100A, 3 μm PA-A Column

BioSuite pC18 and pPhenyl Reversed-Phase Columns

BioSuite pC18, 2.5 μm columns contain a non-porous (NP) chemistry that can generate superior chromatographic resolution in less time compared to chromatography performed on the porous, BioSuite pC18, 500Å, 7 μm offering.

The Waters porous, pC18, 500Å, 7 μm reversed-phase column is designed for applications requiring increased binding capacity compared to use of the non-porous, pPhenyl offering.

pC18 and pPhenyl RPC chemistries are available in 21.5 mm x 150 mm columns for lab scale isolations while a 2.0 mm x 75 mm column is well suited for narrow-bore HPLC and LC/MS applications.

BioSuite Ion-Exchange HPLC Columns

BioSuite Ion-Exchange Columns include four separation chemistries -- SP strong and CM weak cation-exchangers and Q strong and DEAE weak anion-exchangers -- bonded to a pH stable (pH 2–12), methacrylic ester-based polymeric resin.  This broad choice of separation chemistries provides chromatographers with the flexibility to develop methods that separate proteins or peptides based on subtle charge differences.  Selected BioSuite ion-exchange columns are also offered with PEEK hardware as well as in 21.5 mm I.D. for lab-scale preparative applications.

Size-exclusion columns (silica-based)

BioSuite Ultra-High Resolution (UHR), High Resolution (HR), and Standard Size Exclusion SEC columns

The molecular weight exclusion limits of BioSuite SEC packings are determined primarily by the selected pore size of the silica-based material used in the column offering. In addition, the particle size of the SEC packing media as well as the column length are important parameters that determine separation efficiency. Ranked by separation efficiency, BioSuite UHR columns (calibration table not shown) provide the highest level, followed by BioSuite HR, and Standard SEC columns.

Hydrophilic interaction chromatography columns (polymethacrylate based)

BioSuite Phenyl HIC

BioSuite Phenyl HIC columns provide a viable separation alternative to reversed-phase LC since separations are performed in non-denaturing aqueous eluents.  HIC is characterized by the adsorption of hydrophobic molecules to a weakly hydrophobic surface on the LC packing material at high salt concentrations.   Compound elution is then achieved using a gradient of decreasing salt concentration.  BioSuite Phenyl 1000Å, 10 μm HIC column media consists of a phenyl group bonded to a methacrylic ester-based polymeric resin. The large 1000Å pores accommodates proteins up to 5,000,000 Daltons.
