Outstanding sensitivity and selectivity to deliver high-quality, reproducible exact mass measured data routinely. MassLynx™ Informatics to deliver simple and rapid compound identification and interpretation. This allows you to make intelligent business decisions faster.
Comprehensive high quality information The Xevo™ QTof MS exact mass measurement capabilities enable compounds to be more easily identified. With the ability to confirm a measured m/z to within 2 ppm (RMS) you can significantly increase your confidence in assigning elemental composition. Xevo QTof MS for qualitative and quantitative exact mass UPLC®/MS/MS features: Exact mass: 2 ppm RMS - High resolution: Over 10,000 Full Width Half Maximum (FWHM)
- High sensitivity: Class-leading sensitivity, which features enhanced duty cycle (EDC) capability for maximum duty cycle over specified m/z range
- Dynamic range: > Up to 4 orders of linearity
- UPLC compatible acquisition rates: Up to 20 spectra/sec
UPLC/MSE In addition to MS and MS/MS modes of acquisition, Xevo QTof MS utilizes Waters' unique UPLC/MSE mode of operation, allowing you to collect the maximum amount of data from a single analysis in total confidence. UPLC/MSE overcomes undersampling of complex mixtures through the following features: The latest Atmospheric Pressure Ionization (API) Source technology The Xevo QTof MS is equipped with a new family of API sources incorporating multiple ionization techniques for analysis of the widest range of compounds possible. Quick and simple to interchange, they provide the ultimate in ease and flexibility for experimental options. The new ion sources benefit from a number of innovations, including optimized gas flow dynamics and a desolvation heater design, which greatly enhances the efficiency of ionization. With virtually tool-free operation, set-up and maintenance couldn't be easier.
The next generation ZSpray API source pushes forward the boundaries of LC/MS performance. Powerful technology that is simple to use. For full compatibility with all your HPLC and UPLC needs, the electrospray ion source operates optimally with LC mobile phase flow rates up to 2 mL/min regardless of solvent compostion. Robust dual orthogonal API source (ZSpray™): Maximizes source longevity, protects against dirty samples, and allows easy removal and cleaning of source elements without breaking vacuum. Multiple source options include: ESI/APCI/ESCi® - APPI/APCI
- NanoFlow ESI
IntelliStartTM Technology automates system set-up to ensure that both highly experienced and novice scientists alike can operate the instrument quickly and confidently under optimal system operating conditions- producing the highest quality, reproducible UPLC®/MS/MS data every time. An integrated system of fluidics, electronics, and software continually monitors system performance. Through a series of diagnostic checks, the MS Detector can report when it is ready for use. Any failures trigger a red-light system status, warning that action may be required before analysis can proceed. IntelliStart Technology: - Autotunes and calibrates the system, optimized for your analysis
- Reports on your LC/MS system performance
- Resolves system alerts
Intelligent services delivery platform: Connections INSIGHT®, available with Xevo QTof MS, is an intelligent service delivery platform that provides continuous monitoring and instant-alert notifications for faster, proactive support that dramatically minimizes downtime due to hardware failures. Specific information, such as system usage, operational parameters, and diagnostic information is transmitted to Waters Technical Support. Through a secure internet connection, Connections INSIGHT creates a virtual support presence in your laboratory.
MarkerLynx™ XS Application Manager Quickly profile complex mixtures of small molecules. Compare and discriminate datasets using multivariate statistical analysis to identify patterns and extract differences easily. MetaboLynx™ XS Application Manager Rapidly confirm expected metabolites and identify unexpected metabolites for in vitro and in vivo drug metabolism studies. Detects putative bio transformations without requiring operator-supplied predictions of metabolic fate. ChromaLynx™ Application Manager Easily detect, identify and semi-quantitatively determine all the components in your complex mixtures. By deconvaluting chromatograms or through targeted accurate mass extraction, ChromaLynx Application Manager allows you to detect, locate and identify components, and compare your samples to identify common and unique components. TargetLynx™ Application Manager Quantify and confirm while eliminating time-consuming, costly manual checks. With automated sample data acquisition, processing and reporting, TargetLynx Application Manager incorporates a range of confirmatory checks so you can easily identify samples that fall outside user-specified or regulatory thresholds. BiopharmaLynx™ Application Manager Automate the characterization of biopharmaceuticals using peptide map and intact mass biopharmaceutical data. Confirm recombinant protein sequences, detect and quantify trace product variants, and compare samples with reference standards. IdentityE High Definition Proteomics™ System Waters IdentityE High Definition Proteomics System, for qualitative protein identification, enables proteomics researchers to use a simple routine to determine absolute protein concentrations. It mines deeper into complex digest samples to deliver more comprehensive and confident peptide detection and cataloging.

The Atmospheric Solids Analysis Probe (ASAP) is a powerful tool for the rapid direct analysis of volatile and semi-volatile, solid and liquid samples using atmospheric pressure ionization. The ASAP technique utilizes the heated nitrogen desolvation gas to vaporize the sample and a corona discharge for sample ionization. This allows low polarity compounds not amenable to ESI, APcI, and APPI to be ionized with a high degree of sensitivity. Furthermore complex mixtures can be analyzed without the need for any sample preparation. The AtmosphericSolids Analysis Probe is readily fitted to a standard API source by replacing either the ESI or APcI probe assembly. A corona discharge pin also requires fitting. The close proximity of the sample, when loaded onto a glass capillary tube, to the point of ionization and the MS inlet, improves sensitivity whilst also ensuring safety due to the enclosed source housing. Instruments are operated in combined Electrospray/APcI mode (ESCi®). This provides for the acquisition of both analyte data in APcI mode and reference data in electrospray mode, enabling exact mass measurements to be produced. The probe is designed to have both fixed & removable sections to allow rapid sample introduction without removal of the complete assembly ensuring stable source conditions.
